Sunny was appointed to help reinvigorate the UK Supply Chain team in Vodafone. Over several years the team had become disengaged from the business, and lacked enthusiasm, and urgency to correct structural cost issues, following the loss of market leadership to Telefonica.The entire leadership team, together with some category managers and specialists needed refreshing. Sunny was instrumental in developing the target capabilities list, and then mapping it to his network, together with supplementary research. He then led the candidate list presentation back to Vodafone, the outcome of which were several key appointments. Sunni demonstrated a good understanding of the role of procurement, and his network ensured the targeting of candidates with relevant skills and expertise. He was also a valued advisor, and gave great council on salary bands, and packages, to ensure we did not create wage inflation, whilst at the same time were competitive with our offers this was across both on permanent and interim basis.
