I’ve now worked with Sunny as both a client and candidate for 8 or 9 years. What marks him out from the crowd of other recruiters is his focus on proactive relationship management, regardless of the immediate opportunity. This means that when an opportunity arises Sunny is able to pull on knowledge from a wide network of candidates and customers across sectors and roles that are very relevant to the opportunity. His proactivity and ready access to a pool of relevant candidates puts me 3-4 weeks ahead of traditional sourcing recruiting routes. This is invaluable when looking to source candidates at pace This approach also allows Sunny to invest time in establishing a detailed view of the culture of the business as well as the role, before making a recommendation on appropriate candidates. He does the same with candidates and I therefore feel very comfortable that his recommendations are sound and based on actual knowledge.  He uses his wide professional network to validate technical elements of the roles he recruits for. In the past, we have discussed (on an anonymised basis) roles he has been recruiting for so that he has an objective viewpoint on the customer’s requirement. I know he also does this with others and it shows to me, his commitment in getting it right for both customer and candidate. When we have budget to spend on external agencies Sunny is the first person I contact.

Sunny was appointed to help reinvigorate the UK Supply Chain team in Vodafone. Over several years the team had become disengaged from the business, and lacked enthusiasm, and urgency to correct structural cost issues, following the loss of market leadership to Telefonica.The entire leadership team, together with some category managers and specialists needed refreshing. Sunny was instrumental in developing the target capabilities list, and then mapping it to his network, together with supplementary research. He then led the candidate list presentation back to Vodafone, the outcome of which were several key appointments. Sunni demonstrated a good understanding of the role of procurement, and his network ensured the targeting of candidates with relevant skills and expertise.
